My name is Benjamin Hasegawa-Berghan, and I am your guide to purchasing property in the Central Japan (Chubu) region. I was born in New Zealand, but did most of my schooling and university in Nagoya, Japan, where I live today. I am fluent in Japanese, English and Spanish.
Growing up in Nagoya I was lucky enough to have parents who are keen travellers and outdoors people. I travelled extensively throughout Japan, especially the Chubu region. Camping on the beach in Fukui, climbing mountains in Nagano, long hot onsen soaks in Gifu, my parents made sure I experienced the best Central Japan has to offer.
It was my father (that's the Kiwi half) who actually suggested I look into starting this kind of business. He has lived and travelled in Japan extensively, and as a scuba instructor spent a lot of time all around both the Pacific and the Sea of Japan coasts. My mother (that's the Japanese half) has, without a doubt, travelled in Japan more than anyone else I know. She has a deep love for the mountains, climbing them and soaking in their natural hot springs afterwards. Her intimate knowledge of Chubu is unparalleled.
So you could say it's a family business, and both mum and dad will probably be helping along the way. The opportunity to do business and pass on our deep affection for this region is the greatest opportunity here. Yokoso, let us introduce the best that Chubu has to offer.
